I Sit in the Front Row . . . Very Nervously

After the first day of PC II I’ve developed a rule of thumb: When not looking directly down at my paper, never let the eyes wander higher than the chest medallion . . . but never look closely enough to read it.

Whether it’s psychology or superstition, I think this is something that will save me.

Overall damage for the day:
2 memos
1 forced to stand for yawning
est. 9 hours of reading after class (still not quite done)

what's a chest medallion? Powell's bolo tie?

It's the piece of jewelry that dangles from his suit vest, connected to a chain, that is connected to a button, that is connected to his pants.

It hangs lower than a bolo tie. I would never look so high as a bolo tie.

The medallion means he's in a bad mood. Jeans, boots, and a vest means he's in a good mood. If he wears the green tartan vest with a green tie, he's in a really good mood.

the pocket watch connects to his belly button and nipple rings.
